Dermatology Medical Assistant (full time)

The Skinstitute is a premier provider of specialized clinical and cosmetic dermatology services. We are an ever growing practice seeking a confident and kind individual to assist our Providers with patient care. A successful candidate will be able to communicate with the provider and patient and be mindful of patient confidentiality. They will be able to evaluate and respond to a patient needs and relay the providers instructions.

Qualifications

• 1 year of medical assistant experience preferred (but not required)
• Customer service skills required
• Must have EMR experience
• Ability to learn and understand medical terminology and vital signs
• At least one year of Dermatology experience preferred (but not required)
• ***An ideal position for pre-PA or pre-MD Students***

Responsibilities

• Assisting physician in providing quality care to patients
• Maintain patients medical records
• Review medical history
• Obtain appropriate consents
• Call in prescriptions
• Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and physician assistants
• Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications)
